Individuals on both sides of the aisle are predicting dire consequences if the “other side” wins in 2024. Why do so many people, including influential civic educators, maintain that American democracy is in danger of being lost? Is this nothing more than political rhetoric? In this session we will analyze this question objectively and discuss what we can do to enrich civic education in our classrooms.
