A man, proudly wearing a turban and a full beard. A woman, elegantly bearing her long hair. Do you wonder who they are? In line with the new CT Elementary and Secondary Social Studies Content Standards, learn about the Sikhs and their peaceful belief system through a panel led by Sikh elementary and high school students in Connecticut. They will be speaking on their experiences growing up in a post-9/11 world and what it means to be a citizen of the United States of America when your identity can be misconstrued as a threat.
